Education
Karen Lipeika graduated from Paier College of Art in Hamden, CT with a BFA.
 
She continues to attend creative workshops throughout the years to keep her artistic flame burning.

Karen studied sculpture with James Caudle, Laci de Gerenday and Elisabeth Gordon Chandler of Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts.

She studied
watercolors with Carlton Plummer, East Boothbay, Maine. Oils with Jerry Weis, Charles Sovek, Chris Zang and Noel Belton, Gabor Svagrik, and most recently pastels/oils with Albert Handell and Anita Louise West of Santa Fe.

Karen is a member of the Friends of Lyme Academy College, and presently a member of the Lyme Art Association, The Mystic Arts Center and the Madison Art Association. Her sculptures and paintings can be found in numerous private collections.
 
 
 
 
 
Other interests
Karen fills her spare time with outdoor activities which include: Hiking, kayaking, and biking. She has bicycled in various locations throughout Europe. She has bicycled in the Ijsslemeer Lake Circuit and the North Sea of Holland, Copenhagen and Denmark, Bodensee (Lake Constance Circuit, and Rhine Falls, Germany and Austria) and finally the Loire Valley in France. She visited Giverny while in France and plans to go back to paint in Monet’s Gardens in the future.
